Hi! My name is Jen. Let me tell you a little about myself.
I have worn many different hats in my life. I have been a waitress, manager of a large pizza place, and a Title 1 Aide in elementary, middle and high school. I can honestly say I have never had a job as rewarding as the one I currently hold. Nothing takes the place of first steps, shining eyes, and happy squeals of children enjoying life as all children should.
As a mother of four, I understand the difficulty of leaving your children in the care of someone else. I have been there. We had our oldest children in daycare. I learned a lot from that experience and what I really wanted for my children. It was hard to drop them off and go to work. Having gone through that myself I think I am able to understand the feelings of the parents that bring their children to me, and the feelings of the children. Footsteps strives to be a place of love and laughter, a place your child loves to comes to, and you feel comfortable and at peace leaving them at.
A few facts: I am thirty-something. My favorite color is purple. :-) In my precious spare time I love to quilt. Right now I am in the process of designing my own line of quilts. My husband, Chris, is a new teacher at Marshall Middle School. He teaches 8th grade Language Arts. We lead busy lives, that will just get busier once the kiddos are immersed in their own activities. But life is good and we are truly blessed.
I would love the chance to get to know you and your child/ren. Click on the envelope and send me an email with your name and type of care (full/part time, ages) that you are looking for, then take a moment to browse through the other pages of my site to find out more about Footsteps In Growing Daycare. You will find pictures of my daycare set up, but I will never put a picture of your child on my website. I have also posted our schedule, forms needed, sick policy and other important information here. I also hope to someday give you links that would benefit you as a parent.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
Welcome to Footsteps In Growing.
